Ingredients

  • 45 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Buns for serving
  • Coleslaw for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Rub the pork shoulder with paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions in the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the BBQ sauce and chicken broth over the pork.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  7. Serve the pulled pork on buns, topped with additional BBQ sauce and coleslaw if desired.
