Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Prepare the wet ingredients by whisking together the milk and eggs.
  3. Combine the dry and wet mixtures, mixing until well combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry spoonfuls of batter in hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain the fritters on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
