A delightful Apple Gooey Butter Cake that combines a buttery crust with creamy cream cheese and spiced apple filling for the ultimate dessert experience.

  • 1 box of butter cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 cups of apple pie filling
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the butter cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add in the 3 eggs, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix until creamy.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
  5. Spoon the apple pie filling on top, distributing it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until set and slightly golden.
  7. Let the cake cool before serving to make slicing easier.
