A simple and flavorful slow-cooked teriyaki chicken dish enriched with fresh vegetables and aromatic spices.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, or carrots)
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a slow cooker.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in the sauce and turn to coat them thoroughly.
  3. Add the chopped vegetables on top of the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks inside the slow cooker and mix well with the sauce.
  6. Serve over hot rice and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

For a less sweet version, adjust the amount of brown sugar. You can customize vegetables according to preference.
