Celebrate the flavors of Italy with these delicious Baked Italian Grinder Sandwiches, layered with salami, ham, pepperoni, provolone cheese, and fresh veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 1 cup sliced salami
  • 1 cup sliced ham
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Combine the olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Brush the mixture generously on both halves of the bread.
  5. Layer the salami, ham, pepperoni, and provolone cheese on the bottom half.
  6. Scatter the diced green bell pepper and onion over the cheese.
  7. Assemble the sandwich by placing the top half of the bread over the fillings.
  8. Wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  10. Remove from the oven, unwrap, slice, and serve warm.
