Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and rinse under cold water.
  3. Toss the asparagus with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, until tender and lightly browned.
  6. Combine balsamic vinegar and honey in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 3–4 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  7. Remove the asparagus from the oven, transfer it to a serving platter, and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top.

Notes

For a twist, substitute maple syrup for the honey in the glaze. Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary can add flavor.
