A comforting and nutritious dish featuring tender beef and vibrant broccoli, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in a bowl with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add the marinated beef, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Toss in minced garlic to the same pan and stir-fry for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the broccoli and beef broth, sautéing for 3-5 minutes until broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the pan, mixing well with the broccoli, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve over hot rice.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with tofu and use vegetable broth. You can also try adding red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
