A quick and easy Beef and Broccoli recipe that’s bursting with flavors and perfect for busy weeknights.

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Create the Savory Sauce: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a bit of water to create a smooth sauce.
  2. Heat the Pan: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté the Beef: Add the sliced beef to the hot pan and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Set the Beef Aside: Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  5. Sauté Garlic and Ginger: In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Steam the Broccoli: Add broccoli and a splash of water to the pan, cover, and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
  7. Combine Beef and Sauce: Return the beef to the pan and pour the sauce over everything, stirring to coat.
  8. Thicken the Sauce: Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  9. Serve with Rice: Serve this glorious Beef and Broccoli over cooked rice.

Notes

For added flavor, drizzle some sesame oil or sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
