A delightful fusion of sharp cheddar, savory beef, crispy bacon, and refreshing apples, drizzled with hot honey for a unique twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich.

Ingredients

  • Bread (e.g., sourdough or white)
  • Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • Cooked beef (e.g., roast beef or steak), sliced
  • Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Apple, thinly sliced
  • Hot honey
  • Butter

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer slices of cheddar cheese, followed by the slices of beef, crumbled bacon, and fresh apple slices on the unbuttered side of each slice, then drizzle hot honey over the apple slices.
  3. Top each layered side with another slice of cheddar cheese and place a second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice it in half, and serve warm.

Notes

Pairs excellently with a side salad or creamy tomato soup. Can be made vegetarian by substituting beef and bacon with grilled mushrooms or tempeh.
