Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans to prepare for a beautiful bake!
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the buttermilk and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  7. Fold in the fresh blueberries gently.
  8. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
