A comforting twist on a classic, this Biscuits and Gravy Casserole combines fluffy biscuits and rich sausage gravy for a hearty breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cooked sausage; stir until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Cut the biscuits into quarters and place them in a greased baking dish.
  6. Pour the sausage and gravy mixture over the biscuits.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden and cooked through.
