A warm and comforting blackberry cobbler with a crispy top and a gooey center, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup sugar (divided)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the fresh blackberries with 1/2 cup of the sugar and set aside.
  3. Whisk together the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spoon the blackberry mixture over the top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Covers leftovers and store in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
