  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup blackberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to ensure your brownies come out easily.
  2. Mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until completely combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer.
  9. Scatter the blackberries on top of the cream cheese layer.
  10. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese and blackberries.
  11. Create a swirl pattern with a toothpick or knife.
  12. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  13. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares.
