Delicious homemade Bounty Bars filled with chewy coconut and coated in rich chocolate, reminiscent of childhood treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  2. Transfer the coconut mixture into a lined rectangular baking dish and press firmly and evenly.
  3. Freeze the baking dish for about 30 minutes to help the bars set.
  4. Melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  5. Cut the set coconut mixture into bars and dip each one into the melted chocolate until fully coated.
  6. Place the chocolate-covered bars on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate until the chocolate hardens.
  7. Enjoy the homemade Bounty Bars fresh or share them with friends!

Notes

Make sure the coconut mixture is pressed firmly into the dish for easier cutting. You can use vegetable oil as an alternative to coconut oil for melting chocolate.
