A delightful combination of cookies and brownies that offers a rich, chocolaty experience with every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup brownie batter (prepared mix or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add this to the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread half of the cookie dough in the prepared pan.
  7. Pour the brownie batter over the top.
  8. Add spoonfuls of the remaining cookie dough over the brownie batter.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
