A nostalgic take on classic chocolate chip cookies enriched with the nutty flavor of brown butter, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter over medium heat until browned and nutty.
  2. Mix the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well incorporated.
  4. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
