Deliciously sweet and crunchy, these Brown Sugar Candied Walnuts make for the perfect topping or snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups walnut halves
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until well combined.
  4. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the walnut halves to the caramel sauce and stir to coat.
  6. Continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the caramel deepens in color.
  7. Pour the candied walnuts onto the lined baking sheet and spread them out to cool.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks. Keep away from humidity to avoid stickiness.
