Delicious soft cookies made with brown sugar, cinnamon, and caramel bits, perfect for indulging your sweet tooth.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup caramel bits or chopped caramel candies
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking.
  2. Cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure to fully incorporate each one before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel bits and nuts if you’re using them.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
