Delightful chocolate truffles with a blend of brown sugar, buttery toffee bits, and creamy chocolate, perfect for festive occasions.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (milk or dark)
  • Cocoa powder or crushed nuts (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and unsalted butter. Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened. Stir in toffee bits and vanilla extract.
  3. Cool in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.
  4. Scoop small portions and roll them into balls.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. Dip each truffle in the melted chocolate, then roll in cocoa powder or crushed nuts.
  6. Place truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set until chocolate hardens.
  7. Store in an airtight container and enjoy your festive treats!
