Delicious and fudgy brownie cookies that merge the richness of brownies with the fun of cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter and mix in both sugars until combined.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are glossy and crackled.
  9. Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or freeze them for up to three months.
