Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces eggs
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1.5 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder (heaping)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 0.75 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili flakes (or to taste)
  • 0.67 cup chicken bone broth or vegetable broth, low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Kosher salt (optional)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs in a pot of water. Bring to a rolling boil; cook for about 9 to 12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to chill.
  2. Sauté the garlic in a skillet over medium heat with the unsalted butter until fragrant.
  3. Mix in Old Bay seasoning, sugar, onion powder, lemon pepper seasoning, paprika, and red chili flakes. Stir for about 30 seconds.
  4. Create the broth base by pouring in the chicken or vegetable broth and lemon juice. Stir and let it simmer.
  5. Simmer the peeled eggs in the broth for about 5 minutes to infuse flavor.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm, add Kosher salt if desired.

Notes

For perfect boiled eggs, place them in cold water before boiling and use an ice bath immediately after boiling for easy peeling.
