  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for toppings
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Mix together the flour, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Dredge each piece of chicken in the seasoned flour.
  5. Fry the chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Create garlic aioli by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt.
  7. Toast the sandwich buns until golden and crisp, then assemble the sandwich.

Notes

For extra crispy chicken, double-dip the chicken in the flour after dredging in buttermilk. Leftovers can be stored in separate airtight containers in the fridge.
