A flavorful carne asada recipe perfect for gatherings, infused with lime juice and aromatic spices.

  • 2 pounds flank steak or skirt steak
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Mix together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, and cilantro to create a marinade.
  2. Place the steak in a shallow dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over it.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off.
  5. Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes per side until desired doneness is reached.
  6. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing against the grain.
