A comfort food classic that combines crispy bacon, savory cheddar, and zesty ranch dressing in a perfectly toasted sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 4 slices of bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for toasting bread
  • 4 slices of sourdough or Texas toast

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Spread the chicken and bacon mixture onto two slices of bread. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and place the other two slices on top.
  4. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Toast the sandwiches on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the sandwiches to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

Pairs well with a fresh garden salad or crispy sweet potato fries. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
