Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients: flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients: milk, water, and melted butter in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and combine until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape.
  7. Spread with minced garlic and sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
  8. Roll the dough up tightly to form a log and cut into 1-inch pieces.
  9. Place the pieces in a greased muffin tin and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
