A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu, featuring a blend of creamy mascarpone, coffee, and the fruity brightness of cherries, enhanced by amaretto liqueur.

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 cup cherries, pitted and halved
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee mixture: In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee with the amaretto liqueur.
  2. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture briefly and layer them in the serving dish.
  3. Whisk together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Add a layer of halved cherries on top.
  6. Repeat with another round of dipped ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and more cherries.
  7. Chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

Don’t over dip the ladyfingers; they should be moist but not soggy. Use quality ingredients for the best flavor.
