A classic Chicken Marsala dish with seasoned chicken and earthy mushrooms, enveloped in a rich Marsala wine sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, for dredging
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 3/4 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge them in flour, shaking off the excess.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Pour in Marsala wine and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom.
  6. Add chicken broth and return chicken to the skillet. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in butter until melted and combined.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve over creamy mashed potatoes or pasta. Pairs well with sautéed greens or a glass of Marsala wine.
