A quick and healthy stir-fry featuring tender chicken, crisp cabbage, and bell pepper, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 4 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Sauté the garlic and chicken: Add minced garlic and sliced chicken, cooking until the chicken is no longer pink and beautifully browned.
  3. Add the vegetables: Toss in the chopped cabbage and bell pepper to the skillet, stirring well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Flavor with soy sauce: Pour in the soy sauce and season the mixture with salt and pepper, letting those flavors marry for a moment.
  5. Stir-fry to perfection: Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender yet still holds onto some crunch, and the bell pepper adds a lovely sweetness.
  6. Serve and garnish: Serve hot, optionally garnished with sesame seeds for that extra touch of elegance.

Notes

Pairs well with jasmine rice or quinoa. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
