  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Keep a close eye, as you want to avoid boiling it!
  2. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate, stirring until it’s melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the butter and vanilla extract until everything is fully combined.
  4. If desired, add powdered sugar to taste and stir until dissolved.
  5. Let the mixture cool to room temperature or refrigerate for a thicker consistency.

Notes
