A comforting and indulgent chocolate chip banana bread, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan to prevent the bread from sticking.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until fully combined.
  4. Add the baking soda and a pinch of salt. Stir well to incorporate.
  5. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until mixed together.
  6. Mix the flour into the wet ingredients until just incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool the bread in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
