Crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, these chocolate chip cookies are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
  5. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the wet ingredients.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and salt.
  7. Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for several days.
