Delicious chocolate chip walnut cookies that bring back childhood memories.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract, followed by the eggs, one at a time.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients until well combined.
  5. Gently stir in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
  6. Using a rounded tablespoon, drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each scoop.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week or frozen for up to three months.
