A rich and decadent dessert featuring a gooey molten chocolate center, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust them with flour.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until thick and pale.
  4. Carefully add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, then incorporate the flour, vanilla extract, and salt.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them three-quarters full.
  6. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes.
  7. Let the cakes cool for about 1 minute, then invert onto plates and serve immediately.

Notes

Pair with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
