A delightful ice cream cake layered with rich chocolate cake, cookie dough, and topped with M&M’s, perfect for family celebrations and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup M&M’s
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Chocolate sauce (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the chocolate cake mix instructions and prepare your cake pans by greasing and lining them to avoid sticking.
  2. Mix the chocolate cake batter as per the package instructions and pour it evenly into your prepared pans. Bake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely in the pans.
  3. Once cooled, gently remove the cakes from the pans and slice each cake into even layers.
  4. In a cake pan, place your first layer of chocolate cake at the bottom. Make sure it’s centered.
  5. Using a spatula, spread a thick layer of vanilla ice cream over the cake layer.
  6. Sprinkle chunks of cookie dough generously over the ice cream.
  7. Add the second layer of chocolate cake over the ice cream and cookie dough. Follow with another layer of ice cream and more cookie dough, repeating until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of chocolate cake on top.
  8. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm enough to slice.
  9. Before serving, take the cake out of the freezer, remove the plastic wrap, and top with M&M’s and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
  10. Using a sharp knife, slice the cake into generous pieces.

Notes

Make sure the chocolate cake is completely cooled before layering to prevent the ice cream from melting. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week.
