  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium pot, combine the rinsed rice and water, and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, leaving the pot covered for 5 minutes.
  5. Fluff the rice gently with a fork, and then stir in cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, and salt.
  6. Serve the rice warm, allowing the fresh flavors to shine.

Notes

For a bolder flavor, adjust lime juice and cilantro according to your taste. Rinse the rice for fluffier grains.
