A delightful fusion of banana bread and cinnamon rolls, perfect for breakfast or a cozy treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt to the banana-butter mixture.
  4. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until everything is blended nicely.
  5. Mix in the flour gently until just incorporated—be careful not to overmix!
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together to make your delightful cinnamon sugar.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter, then layer the remaining batter on top, finishing with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  8. Use a knife to swirl the mixture slightly for that beautiful marbled effect!
  9. Bake for about 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added crunch, incorporate chopped walnuts or pecans. For a richer flavor, consider folding in chocolate chips.
