  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for icing)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to set the stage for our baking adventure.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until beautifully combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Whip together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for icing until smooth.
  9. Decorate the cooled cookies with icing before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze unbaked dough for up to three months.
