A delightful twist on traditional cinnamon rolls, combining the fluffy texture of focaccia with a sweet cinnamon-sugar filling and creamy glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Mix wet ingredients in another bowl and add to the dry ingredients, kneading until smooth.
  3. Allow the dough to rise for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread melted butter over it.
  6. Create the cinnamon mixture and sprinkle it on the buttered dough.
  7. Shape the dough into a log and cut it into rolls.
  8. Arrange the rolls on a greased baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled focaccia before serving.

Notes

For best results, let the dough rise adequately and reheat leftovers in the oven.
