A comforting dish of sweet potatoes layered with cinnamon and cream, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Create the base layer by layering half of the sliced sweet potatoes in a baking dish.
  3. Add butter, half the cinnamon, and brown sugar on the first layer.
  4. Repeat the layering process with the remaining sweet potatoes and additional butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  5. Pour the heavy cream over the top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Notes

Ensure even slicing of the sweet potatoes for uniform cooking. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
