Delicious baked cinnamon sugar donut holes, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just blended.
  5. Fill the muffin tin holes about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Combine the sugar and cinnamon for the coating in a small bowl.
  8. Cool the donut holes slightly, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Don’t overmix the batter to keep donut holes light and fluffy. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
