Delicious Coconut Dream Bars with a buttery crust and rich coconut filling, perfect for sharing and creating memories.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix until combined.
  4. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.
  5. In another bowl, mix the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Spread the coconut mixture evenly over the crust.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding dark chocolate chips or mixing in chopped nuts with the coconut.
