Delightful coffee-infused cinnamon rolls that are soft, fluffy, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt.
  2. Combine the Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, cooled brewed coffee, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
  3. Bring it All Together: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface until it becomes smooth and elastic—about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Let it Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll it Out: After your dough has risen beautifully, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to a rectangle shape.
  6. Spread the Sweet Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Spread this sweet mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  7. Roll it Up: Starting at one end, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the edges to seal it.
  8. Slice into Rolls: Cut the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish.
  9. Second Rise: Cover the rolls again and let them rise for about 30 minutes until puffed and light.
  10. Bake to Perfection: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Serve & Enjoy!: Serve warm, optionally drizzled with glaze or icing for a delightful finish.

Notes

For a richer coffee flavor, use espresso instead of brewed coffee. Allow dough to rise in a warm environment for best results.
