Recreate the classic Big Mac at home with this simple and delicious recipe that captures all the iconic flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 beef patties
  • 1 sesame seed bun
  • 2 slices of cheese (American or Cheddar)
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Pickles (slices)
  • Onions (finely chopped)
  • Special sauce (mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by warming up your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef patties generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them on the grill or skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they reach your desired doneness.
  2. While the patties are cooking, grab a small bowl and mix together 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of ketchup, 1 tablespoon of relish, and a squirt of mustard. Stir until well combined.
  3. Next, take your sesame seed bun and toast it lightly on a griddle.
  4. On the bottom half of your toasted bun, spread a generous layer of that special sauce. Add a handful of shredded lettuce, place one beef patty on top, followed by a slice of cheese, pickles, and onions.
  5. Now, take the middle bun and spread more special sauce on top. Place the second beef patty on top, followed by more lettuce, pickles, and onions. Finish with the top bun, pressing down gently.
  6. Your homemade Big Mac is ready! Serve it immediately while it’s warm, and enjoy every bite.

Notes

Optional: Pair with fries or a milkshake for a complete meal. For low-carb options, consider using lettuce wraps instead of a bun.
