A creamy coconut beverage, often referred to as ‘Puerto Rican eggnog’, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 can (15 oz) cream of coconut
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • Cinnamon sticks (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, sweetened condensed milk, white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using) in a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Chill the mixture in a refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. Serve the chilled Coquito in glasses, garnished with a cinnamon stick.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, replace the rum with additional coconut milk. Experiment with spices or add ice cream for variations.
