  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend the Base: In a blender, combine 2 cups of cottage cheese, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  2. Churn for Creaminess: Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker. Churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Add Mix-Ins: In the last few minutes of churning, mix in 1/4 cup of chocolate chips or fresh fruit, if desired.
  4. Freeze: Once ready, transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For optimal texture, use full-fat cottage cheese and ensure your ice cream maker is pre-chilled. Don’t skip the freezing step for the best consistency.
