A comforting dish featuring tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce, perfect served over pasta or rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Brown the chicken breasts, cooking until beautifully browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté minced garlic and sliced mushrooms until softened.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the sautéed mixture and stir well.
  5. Add the chicken broth slowly, stirring until it thickens.
  6. Stir in the sour cream over low heat to create a creamy sauce.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for a few minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve warm over cooked pasta or rice.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
