Crispy Parmesan Chicken with Creamy Garlic Sauce

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in crispy Parmesan and breadcrumbs, served with a rich creamy garlic sauce.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip into the egg mixture and finally coat with the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and place each coated chicken breast in the skillet to sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
  9. Serve the chicken on a plate, drizzling creamy garlic sauce over the top and finishing with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra crispiness, chill breaded chicken in the fridge for 30 minutes before cooking. Don’t rush the searing process to ensure even cooking.
