Hearty sandwiches filled with tender, flavorful beef and served with a rich au jus.

Ingredients

  • 23 pounds of beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 23 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Baguette or hoagie rolls
  • Provolone or Swiss cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the crockpot, allowing it to be the star of your meal.
  2. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the beef.
  3. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the beef is tender.
  6. Remove the beef from the crockpot, and shred it with two forks.
  7. Serve the shredded beef on baguette or hoagie rolls, topped with cheese if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider searing the roast before adding it to the crockpot. Experiment with spices or use a different type of meat.
