Delightful little pastries capturing the flavors of traditional cherry pie in bite-sized portions.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust on a floured surface and cut into small circles about 3 inches in diameter.
  3. Place a small spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each circle.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling to form a pocket and press the edges to seal tightly.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Place the filled pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
