A delightful and crispy Mediterranean appetizer featuring layers of spinach, feta, and creamy cheeses.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pre-made phyllo dough or tortilla chips for base

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the fresh spinach until wilted.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer your phyllo dough or tortilla chips on a baking sheet for the base.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over your base.
  6. Add the sautéed spinach over the creamy layer.
  7. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese and grated parmesan on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares.

Notes

These crisps are best served warm or at room temperature. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
